All Around American Bar
I couldn't be happier and more fortunate for such a wonderful and creative team! When our client moved to San Diego from the Los Angeles area he found a beautiful 1500+ sq ft condo overlooking the best of San Diego's Harbor and Gaslamp Quarters.
What was missing from this sprawling and spacious luxury condo was some true character. One quickly decided factor was that he needed a bar. The perfect location was adjacent from the kitchen right next to a vintage jukebox he had accrued several years back that just seemed to be floating in the room.
We decided it was a perfect opportunity to use that focal in the room as an anchor for a cool floating bar. Right away the team and I started brainstorming on unique features it might posses.
Corrie Vance, who I consider our team executor went strait to drafting. Being able to see the bar in scale surrounding the jukebox gave us and the client perspective on how it would look when finished. Alyssa Daly added the idea of incorporating a live edge piece of wood for the actual bar top, which was the finishing touch needed.
Once the drawings were complete it was off to our production team and secret weapon! This was truly a team effort and most of all the client is thrilled with the outcome. We are looking forward to a bar baptism this coming weekend.
Here are some before and after shots - Thanks for reading!
