The "It" Chandelier
Lumiere Chandelier

This unique porcupine of a chandelier is always a topic of conversation once seen. It tends to be remembered by many long after a visit. What a work of art- available in antiqued brass, ebonized metal and polished or satin nickel.

Jean De Merry is a collection that leaves every designer I meet feeling inspired and ready for a change. This line of inventive furniture, lighting, fabric and artwork is a lifestyle. The collection has a sort of sex appeal to it, it's moody, warm and sultry. Everyday I am seeing more of a demand for something new, fresh and now. Jean De Merry has delivered and taken a brave stance on what is the design of tomorrow.
Here are a few more of my favorites.

Posse Furniture

Posse Furniture located in L.A.

This collection of casual primarily English and French furniture is a true treasure!
It doesn't get much better than this. A workshop that can do it all, unlimited finish options and capabilities, fast lead times, upholstery that you want to jump into and snuggle up with, well known for their petite welts as well as the attention to detail that goes into each piece. Hand carved case goods that define the true magic behind what a craftsman can do with his (or her) bare hands.

With a combined 40 years of experience owners Constance and Carl Posse have a success on their hands. With a celebrity cliental and a charming workshop that takes up an entire block they have mastered the making of high end furniture and have exceeded the expectations of so many.

Recap on the Laguna Spring Market!

The Laguna Spring Market was quite eventful this year. It did seem as though the group that attended was smaller than last, but the day was pleasant and the showrooms were easier to maneuver.

I would say that the highlight of the day for me was watching Nancy Corzine speak. Her life story was inspiring and she had a "realness" to her that was embracing.

She talked about the economy and how it has effected her, she was strong to say that in front of so many and her message of not giving up and riding through these tough times was heard by many.

The place to be was Blake House, Nancy was there signing books and they set up delightful, decadent deserts for all that attended. I had the brief opportunity to ask Nancy something I have wondered for a while. I asked her how she as a San Diego designer was able to achieve international visibility . Her answer was that she used New York, a hub of the world as her platform. Nancy served many charities and reaped many benefits from the networking opportunities.

"You get what you give."  - Nancy Corzine.
